INTRODUCING ViCATS

ViCATS (Visual Control And Test System) is a computer based test system that uses a touchscreen color display and a graphical user interface. ViCATS-LTS is pre-configured for controlling part clamping, sealing, marking, etc. ViCATS can perform simultaneous and multi-fixture testing. Alternatively, machine control can be provided from a PLC residing on the same computer as the test program. ViCATS-PLC accesses and manipulates all PLC I/O and machine status messages are displayed on-screen.

Capabilities of the ViCATS-PLC are highlighted below. ViCATS-PLC capabilities. This two-station machine performs leak testing and sequential high-volume flow testing on exhaust manifolds. The test fixtures incorporate LASER and Infrared sensors that detect the presence of threaded holes. Accepted parts are air impact marked.

Save money by using the ViCATS-PLC. The system controls machine motions and uses a familiar PLC environment. The PLC resides on the testing computer. Wiring and hardware to connect to a separate MMI, PLC, and Leak Test controller is eliminated.

	Sequential and simultaneous testing. User defined quantity of tests and transducers. User defined testing order. Dynamic system calibration. Dynamic calibration verification with user defined tolerances.

On-board statistics such as automated Gage R&R and SPC provide complete system and process analysis. A Gage R&R summary report is shown to the right.
