Shown is ourViCATS-LTS computer based test system with graphical user interface working in conjunction with a PLC to assemble and test water filter cartridges. The part is transferred via a dial table thru various stations, which press the filter, roll the canister, gage the assembly, and leak and flow test the assembly. Nitrogen is the test medium.

 

(16) Different style filter cartridges are tested, each with its own test limits, calibration, and timers. A 16-position switch selects the style to run. The leak test specification is not greater than 4.0 cc/m air leakage @ 20.0 psig. Total test time on largest part is (6) seconds.
