Part Mastering
Involve Test and Control Inc. offers part mastering for various types of testing applications. Examples shown below are used to "calibrate" and "challenge" a leak and flow test machine. Parts certified as "no leak" and "restricted flow" are used to perform machine "zero leak calibration" Parts with NIST traceable quick connect orifices "induced leakage" and "full flow" are used to perform machine "span leak" calibration.

  • Master Parts are triple Loctite impregnated.
  • Painted yellow (unless otherwise specified).
  • Completely labeled as shown.
  • Exterior surfaces are sealed using a clear lacquer.

For systems supplied with "induced leakage" capability within the test instrumentation's pneumatic circuitry, a "span leak" part is not a requirement for test system calibration.
If a "span leak" part is required, NIST traceable orifices are provided either embedded in the part or as quick connect type usually depending upon user preference.

A master part certificate documents the condition of the master part. When re-mastering (a used master part), ITC provides both "as found" and "as left" information and documentation.
All certifications are performed to NIST traceable standards. If orifices are used, they are supplied with
