Shown is our ViCATS-LTS computer based test system with
graphical user interface working in conjunction with a PLC to assemble and test
water filter cartridges. The part is transferred via a dial table to
various stations, which press the filter, roll the canister, gage the
assembly, and leak and flow test the assembly using nitrogen as a test
medium.
Sixteen different styles are tested, each with
it’s own test limits, calibration, and timers. A 16-position switch
selects the style. The leak test specification is not greater than 4.0 cc/m
@ 20 psig nitrogen. Total test time on largest part is 6 seconds.
